What is a Ready-To-Move (RTM)?
An RTM home is built even higher standards than an onsite build. We add extra reinforcement to ensure a smooth move, and our planning district inspects as if it were an onsite build.
Why should I consider an RTM?
The beauty of an RTM is that the General Contracting part that may burden a customer who doesn’t have the experience to know when to call trades and how to keep the job rolling is already done when it arrives. You just watch them pull into your yard and place it on the foundation. RTMs are also the answer in areas where there is a lack of qualified trades because with our RTMs you know that Journeyman Trades worked on your home from start to finish. Time is also a bonus because you can have your home being built and your foundation being done at the same time and cut some time off of the project.
Does Bailey Homes do onsite builds?
Yes, we can do onsite homes. However, if it’s more efficient to do the foundation onsite and move a finished home onto that foundation we will do that as well. Sometimes the move price is cheaper than the travel for the the trades.
How long have you been making RTM’s?
We have been working in the RTM industry since 2007.
Is the quality of an RTM the same as a house made on site?
Actually an RTM built home is as good or better in quality due to some of the extra precautions that we take to ensure the structure of the home during the move such as glueing all the exterior wall sheathing and installing a layer of O.S.B. on all the ceilings before they are drywalled and all the interior drywall is glued and screwed.
I’ve seen RTM’s and they all look the same? Do I have choice in design?
We pride ourselves in being a custom RTM builder and we have an in house drafting service that we can work with you to design any style home you want. The plans on our site are all houses we have custom built for people, they are here to give you idea not to specifically sell you that house.
Are we limited to our choices in finishes?
No, if we can source what you want we will install it. We are 100% custom builders which means we build what you want.
How long does it take you to build an RTM?
From the time we start construction we can typically have your home ready in 100 days.
